Dr. Michael Campolo was born and raised in Newark, Ohio, attending Newark High School and then Graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree from Ohio Wesleyan University. He attended The Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine and continues to be involved with the medical school as an Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine, teaching medical students who rotate through the office during their clinical rotations in family medicine. He is board certified in family practice and geriatrics.

Dr. Campolo started Medical and Surgical Associates in 1984.

He is also certified in correctional health care by the National Correctional Healthcare Association and is medical director at the Licking County Justice Center. He also serves as a deputy coroner for Licking County working with Dr. Robert Raker who is the coroner. Dr. Campolo serves as a principal investigator for clinical trials for several large pharmaceutical companies. He is currently the medical director for several nursing homes in Licking County as well as the Chapel Grove Assisted Living Facility in Heath, Ohio, and Consumer Support Services which serves the counties' adult MR/DD residents. He works with Heartland Hospice as medical director.

 During his free time he enjoys traveling, hunting at the family deer camp, golfing, and sitting on the dock at Buckeye Lake.  In the fall, he can be found coaching the Cleveland Browns from Row A, Section 149 seat A12 at Cleveland Browns Stadium.
